The mediator's role is to:
-
Listen to all perspectives without taking sides, create a calm environment and facilitate a conversation between the parties.

-
The goals of mediation are to:
-
Clear up misunderstandings, identify underlying concerns and interests and find areas of agreement, and incorporate those areas of agreement into solutions created by the parties.
-
-
The mediator meets with the parties, via Zoom, to help discuss the issues and explore solutions.
-
Prior to the mediation, the parties sign an agreement to mediate which details the required guidelines and mediation process.
